The Universal Remote MX980 has reinspired our programmers with new and impressive features. Full color graphics 320x240, bright screen, programmable animations, and well laid out buttons. When combined with the MSC400, this remote can control RS-232, relay control, video and voltage sensors. IR and RF control.
They also got rid of the serial cable and have usb to usb mini cables. This was a pain since no laptops have serial connections anymore so you had to use a usb to serial converter which sometimes was not reconized by the computer

It is expensive but in the long run the convenience and easy access to all of your compnents makes the expenditure worth it. I just had a home theatre installed with a two zone receiver. This remote makes utilzing all of the components very easy.
Because Unique Electronics is NOT an authorized dealer for Universal Electronics, INC products they will NOT supply me the required software to operate this report.Without the programming software you cannot operate the remote so I am out $400.00.To date still NOT one reponse from the seller after several e-mails.Suggest you avoid this vendor.I am surprise Amazon allows them to sell products on their site. The product arrived packaged in a MOEN box and without the necessary programming software.
Works great on my system. Easy to use and program, dependable and lots of features.
